Can one app really replace your entire productivity stack?
NotePlan did. Try NotePlan free for 7 days to learn how
Liquid Glass has arrived with iOS and macOS 26, and NotePlan has received a major facelift to match. Corners are now rounder, backgrounds more transparent and glassy, and both the NotePlan app icon and in-app icons have been refreshed. On top of that, we’ve packed in a long list of bug fixes.
Because NotePlan is built with a lot of custom code, adapting to the new design required deep changes throughout the app. We had to adjust countless small details to align the interface with the new look, and in some cases even restructure how views are created and connected. This caused a ripple effect of issues that we worked through and cleaned up.
New Icon
NotePlans icon got also the Liquid Glass treatment on Mac and iOS. We also made it slightly thicker to accommodate the new style.

On Mac, the first thing you’ll notice is that the left sidebar now appears to “float” above the window. The best part: it allows your note’s background color to shine through.
You can set a background color for any note by opening Properties at the top. (For calendar notes, first click the menu button in the top right and select Add Properties.) Add a key called "bg-color" and select the desired color from the drop down that appears when you click into "value" — or simply hit the AI button to let NotePlan suggest properties automatically, including background and icon.
The command bar has also been redesigned with a glassy look that lets the background subtly show through.
iOS 26
On iOS, the biggest visual change is on iPad: the sidebar now matches the same floating, glassy design you’ll see on macOS. The command bar also uses this new glass effect here, too.
On iPhone, the keyboard toolbar has been completely refreshed, and most menus and dropdowns throughout the app now share the updated look.
