This is a quick update to clean up a few bugs after the last major release.

There are some edge cases which we haven't covered in the last major release when parsing the note properties (frontmatter). Particularly parts of the notes disappeared when you were using line separators as the first text in your note. This is normally reserved for raw frontmatter. In this release NotePlan checks if there are "key: value" pairs or regular text.

Frontmatter Properties Parsing

  • Fixed background colors not appearing on daily notes when switching between them
  • Fixed path label shadow color not properly updating the colors
  • Fixed case sensitive display of fields in cards and note rows
  • Fixed duplicates in fields drop-down in the toolbar of the Notes table (when some keys were capitalized and others were not, the same key appeared multiple times)
  • Fixed issues in Kanban with case-sensitive keys (i.e. keys written sometimes with lowercase and other times with uppercase).
  • Fixed issues with invalid frontmatter (if you added a line separator at the top of your note and didn't follow it with key: value pairs)
  • Fixed issues with case-sensitive note titles in the properties.

Crashes

  • Fixed possible crash when checking for a valid link
  • Fixed possible crash when receiving a sync and updating the note title
  • Fixed crashes because the frontmatter fields didn't resign the focus properly

Attachments

  • Fixed possible attachment deletion issue when moving a folder with the same name as a note that has attachments
  • Fixed markdown file attachment import for bear notes (on Mac)

Plugins

  • Fixed Plugin download issue (the download was triggered twice by the plugin).

Other

  • Fixed bug in RTF export where numbered lists had an extra space
  • Fixed inconsistencies between menubar formatting and context menu formatting options
  • Fixed find bar position on Mac (CMD+F to search the note for text)
  • Fixed theme of calendar selection on iOS in the settings.

Web Version

  • Fixed task icons disappearing when markdown settings were changed so that not '*', nor '-' are detected as tasks, but only '- [ ]' or '* [ ]'.
