Memo AI 1.2.1 is a refinement release. After the big 1.2 launch we listened to your feedback and focused on making transcription faster and more reliable, refining the new Watch and CarPlay experiences, and smoothing out rough edges throughout the app.

The headline change is under the hood: recordings now use a much more efficient audio format, making files about 10× smaller — so uploads finish faster and transcriptions start sooner.

Transcription & AI

Transcription is faster, smarter, and now covers a lot more languages.

• New audio format: ~10× smaller recordings, faster uploads, transcription kicks off sooner
• Reworked note summaries — long recordings keep all their substance instead of being over-compressed, and summaries adapt to the recording type (meeting, lecture, dictation, brainstorm)
• 14 new transcription languages, including Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Arabic, Hindi, Czech, Greek, Vietnamese, Thai, and Hebrew
• Chat about a note can now search the full raw transcript, not just the summary
• Appending a clarification can now update, merge, or remove existing action items — not just add new ones

Apple Watch & CarPlay

The new Watch and CarPlay experiences got a round of polish.

• Redesigned Watch recording screen: visible cancel button, cleaner timer placement
• CarPlay now has separate Stop and Cancel buttons, with a confirmation before discarding
• CarPlay fully localized in all 14 languages

Chat

Your conversations can now come with you.

• Export chat conversations as Markdown, PDF, or RTF
• Fixed voice input and table rendering in chat

NotePlan Export

New Daily Note options let you log each memo into the daily note of the day it was recorded — with a summary, a configurable heading and position, and a backlink toggle.

Fixes

• Long recordings no longer get stuck in transcription for days
• Stuck transcriptions now recover automatically
• Short appended recordings are no longer silently dropped
• Fixed appended recordings occasionally losing part of their transcribed text
• Fixed Apple Watch recordings getting lost when a background transfer was interrupted
• Fixed the same recording occasionally being processed twice
• Fixed the "Sending" badge staying on screen after sharing logs
• The whole category row is now tappable in the category picker
• Added a Copy User ID button in Settings for faster support
